I used to refer to my art as whimsical, and that’s not incorrect. But when I work on pieces for my own enjoyment (as opposed to commissions), I’ve been veering into the outright absurd. This is the second piece in my L’Hedgehog Criminelle series, Le Ben, C’Est Grande. The titles are always a poor mix of French and English and the crimes are ridiculous. Here she’s installed a French beret on Big Ben. In the original piece, she’s knocked over the Eiffel Tower (La Tour, It Fell). As always, the piece is constructed out of paper collage.
